This initiative of the Regional Office for South America of the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) promotes the mass participation of all people through social networks and encourages ownership of the title “human rights defender.”
Using a cell phone, camera or webcam, anyone can record a video with the following message: "I am **name**, from **country of origin and/or organization**, and I declare that I am a Human Rights Defender."
Next, you can upload and share your video on YouTube and post the link on Facebook, Twitter, blog or by email. Various audio-visual resources are available to help you share this initiative more broadly.
